Qisheng is a research associate working on Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) oncology drug discovery programs in Dr. David Augeri’s group at Rutgers. Before joining Rutgers, Qisheng was a postdoctoral fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where his research interests included small molecule modulators of Chaperone-Mediated Autophagy against neurodegeneration, and structure-based drug discovery of Braf kinase inhibitors as anticancer agents. Qisheng received his Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. One of his benzoxazinyl oxazolidinone compounds developed during his Ph.D. study entered pre-clinical stage in China.
