Shemaila Sultana joined Rutgers Office of Research Commercialization (ORC) in June 2016 where she is responsible for the management of intellectual property, licensing and related commercialization programs. Prior to joining ORC, she was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Shemaila holds a bachelor's degree in Botany and a master’s degree in Biotechnology from India and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the City University of New York. Shemaila has also taught organic, inorganic and physical chemistry at NYC’s Hunter College.
